Awards Recognition
The hard work of our team is recognised both by the kind words from the families of those we support and their care managers.
We believe everyone needs a sense of belonging and a right of ownership to their lives. We will be reactive, compassionate, yet professional with our approach.
We provide our services to those requiring minimal support right through to those requiring complex support.
Staff are fully trained to meet all local authority requirements plus additional training is identified and delivered around an individual's specific needs inlcuding Peg feeding, catheter care, makaton, epiepsy and Buccal Mudazolam administration.
The Care Quality Commission has recognised our service as meeting all requirements, scoring 100% in our latest assessment. From a recent report they noted: A family member of a relative who used the service told us that they had been, "Impressed" with how staff had demonstrated a caring attitude toward their relative.
From our review of the five sets of people's support and care records and speaking with of relatives of people who used the service, we found that people who had a tendency to become unsettled or agitated, had positively responded to members of staff. This included, for instance, becoming more settled and showing signs of happiness, and therefore an increased sense of well-being. A family member told us that their relative was, "Really settled with them (members of staff)."
Next Steps Community Care has also been recognised by the Fenland Enterprise Business Awards, winning in 2009 and a finalist in 2010.
